Our Story

Shawn Jenkins, Owner of J Team Auto Repair & Exhaust, has worked in the auto repair business for 19 years in the Emmett street area. Fresh out of high school he went into the automotive field, while attaining his Master Lube Technician certification and taking multiple air conditioning, electrical and diagnostic courses. While he started off as a lube technician, his hard work and dedication eventually paid off. He was promoted to Manager of a large automotive shop for 8 years before he decided to start a business of his own. He knew that typical auto shops had a main goal of trying to upcharge their customers, but that wasn't his. Shawn's vision was to open a auto repair shop that represented honesty, where people could get decent work done at a reasonable price and most of all-that his family could be proud of.

Customers often ask Shawn, “What needs to be done now and what can be put off until a later time?” and they know Shawn will give them an honest answer and do his best to save them money.

Shawn Jenkins and his wife Ashley, are proud to offer a clean, comfortable space for customers to relax- while knowing their car is in good hands. We pride ourselves in making our customers comfortable in our waiting room, especially if their repair may take a while. Feel free to surf our Wi-Fi (or get much needed work done on your computer while you wait!) If you'd rather sit back and relax, you are more than welcome to watch your favorite shows on Netflix or Hulu! We want your visit to be as enjoyable as possible so please feel free to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, a cold bottle of water or a bag of freshly popped popcorn during your visit!
